Hello!
Sharon Schmidt graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, in May 2023 with a Bachelors in Architecture. She is the first in her family to receive a Bachelor’s Degree and currently works full time as a designer for an interior architecture firm in Newport Beach. She is primarily experienced in residential design projects and interior architecture. Sharon worked full time while pursuing her education to accumulate over three years of experience working in the field. She is proficient in CAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite, Enscape, Lumion, and Twinmotion as well as familiar with Revit, and other fabrication software.
She hopes to learn more about Architecture’s role in identity, culture, and urbanism. After graduation, Sharon aspires to work towards becoming a licensed architect to assist in increasing diversity and representation in the workplace. She believes that Architecture should be for the community and that it is our responsibility as designers to facilitate quality spaces for everyone.
